#1 versus #2! (well at least on paper)

So in about 38 minutes #1 Memphis takes on #2 Tennessee. When you look at these two teams I think it's clear that Memphis is better. They both play an exciting up-tempo style but the bottom line is Memphis just has more horses. Bruce Pearl has done a brilliant job turning Tennessee into a power but there 24-2 mark is a but deceiving. The SEC is having a down year with only 4 teams currently projected to make the tourney. I think Tennessee's lack of size will come into effect tonight as I expect Joey Dorsey to have a monster game inside. I don't think Dorsey is much of a player but there are examples all over the country of big men playing well against small teams (UConn's Haseem Thabeet is exhibit A) Chris Lofton is a fine player but he will have his hand's full with Miami Heat's point guard Derrick Rose. Also, Look for C.D.Roberts stock to rise at least 10 spots after this game. He is my current favorite player in college. He will make a fine pro. Tennessee looks like a #2 seed to me. My Bold Prediction Memphis 88 Tennessee 76, and it won't be that close.
